PARACHINAR: At least 24 people were martyred and 90 others were injured in the wee hours of Friday as a result of an explosion that occurred in Kurram Agency’s Parachinar, according to political administration
The blast took place in a bustling part of the city where approximately 15- 20 shops were operating.
The injured were rushed to local hospitals where 10 to 15 of the affectees were declared critically injured and they required further treatment.
An emergency was declared in all the hospitals and healthcare facilities in the city on Friday.
The agency was reportedly rocked by an earlier blast at the city’s Eidgah vegetable market as well which took the innocent lives of about 25 people and left 65 injured.
